Caryn Seidman Becker

CLEAR
CEO & Chairman
Caryn Seidman-Becker is the Chairman and CEO of CLEAR. Caryn led the acquisition of CLEAR in 2010 and has guided the revitalization and re-launch of the company. CLEAR’s trusted identity platform is paving the way for a future where you are you and your biometrics connect you to a secure and frictionless world. With over 2MM members and 1,200 employees, Caryn drives the overall direction and vision for the company. Caryn also oversees (obsesses over) the customer experience, marketing, business development, and people development. Before acquiring CLEAR, Caryn built a successful career in Asset Management. She got her start at Arnhold and S. Bleichroeder where she was responsible for their risk arbitrage and hedge fund strategies, and later joined Iridian Asset Management where she focused on bottom-up stock selection and valuation. In 2002, Caryn and CLEAR Co-Founder, Ken Cornick, started Arience Capital, a +$1 billion value oriented asset management firm focused on investing across a broad spectrum of industries including consumer, technology, turnarounds, and aerospace and defense. Caryn credits her strong financial background and exposure to incredible leaders at the companies she invested in to the growth and success of CLEAR thus far. Both in and out of the office, Caryn is a strong believer in community building. In 2004, Caryn created The Happy Elephant Foundation which supports education, child wellness, and the New York City community. Additionally, Caryn is the Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Ethical Culture Fieldston School in NYC. Prior board engagements include CME (Central European Media Enterprises) from 2009-2012, Young Women’s Leadership Network from 2010-2018, and The Mount Sinai Hospital. Caryn received a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Michigan. She lives in NYC with her husband Marc and three children.
