Before taking on the Business Development role at True Tickets, Alan worked in consulting where he led projects on behavioral insights, user experience, and compliance. As a graduate student at Duke University, Alan worked in the Office of Licensing and Ventures where he collaborated with founders to identify use cases and market their technology. During this time he cofounded a small retail company that achieved $135,000 in revenue in 3 months. He also cofounded a small medical product startup that is in the process of going to market. Prior to graduate school, Alan served as an MV-22 pilot in the Marine Corps for 10 years and is currently a pilot in the Marine Corps Reserves. In his free time, Alan enjoys reading the latest research on behavioral economics and decision science. His interests are best described as eclectic and irrational, but there is very little that he is not interested in. Though Alan is regularly in Washington, DC for work, he and his wife consider Durham, NC to be their home.
