Jeroen Plag (1969) was appointed Head of Corporate Strategy for ING Bank as of 1 June 2017. In this role, he works closely with the CEO and other MBB members to develop the Think Forward strategy, launched in March 2014.

Prior to this, he was appointed Head of Corporate Client Coverage Europe, UK & Middle East as of 1 January 2017. In this role, he was responsible for 20 countries in Eastern and Western Europe, including the UK and the Middle East, for Corporate Client Coverage, as well as the Asia Desk and Family Office in Amsterdam.

Jeroen also served as Head of Client Coverage Asia, Americas & UK, Head of International Corporate Clients as well as Country Manager of ING Bank N.V. Seoul Korea. Before joining ING Bank Seoul in 2009, he was responsible for ING’s corporate and institutional client relationships in South East Asia; delivering the full range of ING’s banking and advisory products to meet the needs of our Wholesale Banking clients.

He also serves as Honorary Consul General for the Republic of South Korea.

Jeroen started working at ING in 1994 in the dealing room, both on the foreign exchange and interest rates trading and corporate sales side. After that he spent six years in corporate clients in Amsterdam and New York, providing Global Clients with a broad range of corporate banking solutions. From 2004 to 2006 he acted as the Chief of Staff to the Executive Board member for Wholesale Banking. Jeroen holds a Bachelor of Economics from HES in Rotterdam.
