Rob currently leads TCB Labs at Texas Capital Bank, an Innovation centric team focused on Expediting Efficient Exploration, Assessment and Adoption of Emerging Technologies in the organization.
TCB Labs facilitates design thinking and lean startup learning across the organization in support of the Bank’s Strategy by researching emerging technology and industry trends to seed disruptive ideas through rapid prototyping and pilots. The team collaborates with the digital ecosystem, including academics, VCs, FinTechs and entrepreneurs with a focus on solving real business problems for our customers.

Rob also leads the Enterprise Planning and Strategic Initiatives (EPSI) group at Texas Capital Bank. EPSI is a forward looking team charged with developing and maintaining the Bank’s 5 Year Enterprise Roadmap, managing the decisioning and prioritization frameworks for Strategic Initiatives and exploring innovative ways to successfully leverage emerging processes and technologies including those in the FinTech, Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning and Big Data domains.
Rob served as Chief Information Officer, Executive Vice President of the Business Solutions Group with Texas Capital Bank. During his tenure, Rob has played a strategic role in growing the organization from $2 billion to almost $20 billion in total assets by building a highly skilled team focused on New Product Development, Technology Solutions, Cyber Security, Client Experience Management, Process Re-Engineering and New Business Incubation. The Business Solutions Group has proven to be a critical component in the execution of the Bank’s strategic objectives of Best in Class high-growth with limited brick and mortar infrastructure.

Rob served as Executive Vice President, eBusiness Strategies with inTelliDi, Inc., a Texas based Strategy and Technology Professional Services Firm. In this role, Rob was responsible for the development and execution of inTelliDi’s strategic product and service portfolio. Rob was responsible for providing direct support of business development and delivery functions of the organization with a focus on eBusiness Strategy and served in direct, hands-on client service delivery roles with strategic accounts to facilitate successful service penetration.

Rob served as the U.S. South Central Enterprise Technology Solutions Practice Leader with Experio Solutions, a Dallas Headquartered eBusiness Consulting firm with 20 offices across the United States. With accountability for business development and delivery functions, Rob was directly responsible for almost $3.5 Million in new sales and work delivered during his initial 6 months in this position. He assisted in closing an additional $2.5 million in new sales outside of the South Central Region and successfully built a strong sales pipeline of approximately $11.5 million in new consulting revenues. Rob served in a strategic role by facilitating the growth of Experio Solutions from a small, niche-consulting firm towards the goal of being a $1 Billion professional services arm of Hitachi within 4 years.

Rob served as President and CEO with NetPhaseZero, a Dallas based eBusiness venture accelerator. In this role, Rob provided leadership and vision to high-risk/high-growth startup organizations in every aspect of eBusiness venture development including strategic planning, technology design, product placement, fund raising, intellectual property valuation, financial and corporate structuring. Rob provided interim executive leadership and served on the board of several emerging digital businesses.

Rob founded and was the U.S. South West Practice Director of Arthur Andersen's Emerging Technologies Group (ETG) in Dallas, Texas, a multi-million dollar eBusiness technology and strategy practice. During his tenure at Andersen, Rob grew ETG consulting revenues to $20 million by focusing on the development of Strategic eBusiness Strategies and Solutions. Under his direction, the ETG became a premier practice of specialized professional consultants serving the needs of U.S. and international clients in a wide variety of industries. Rob provided executive leadership to Fortune 1000 clients in the development of Strategic eBusiness initiatives and in the transformation of legacy business models into models that leverage eBusiness strategies to maximize Return on Investment and competitive advantage.

Rob became a member of the U.S. National Intelligence community by joining the United States National Security Agency (NSA). While with the NSA, Rob served key roles in the prestigious, state-of-the-art U.S. Department of Defense Artificial Intelligence (AI) Lab and Special Projects Division, supporting global security missions throughout the world with real-time space and terrestrial resources. Rob led several multi-million dollar, mission critical projects, coordinating resources from other U.S. Intelligence agencies, U.S. Joint Armed Services Intelligence Forces, academic research groups and specialized defense contractors in support of U.S. and Allied operations.
Rob holds a BS in Computer Science from Texas Tech University’s College of Engineering in Lubbock, Texas and is a graduate of the U.S. National Security Agency’s Undergraduate Training Program.
