Varun Krishna is vice president of product for Intuit's Consumer Tax Group based in San Diego, CA. Appointed to this role in September 2015, he leads the product management organization responsible for the TurboTax family of products in pursuit of the company's goal to build consumer focused tax and financial products that power prosperity around the world. From 2014-2016, Varun led PayPal’s consumer product team overseeing all web and mobile consumer experiences for 190M consumers globally. He also led PayPal’s retail organization where he introduced a suite of solutions enabling PayPal in-store including the acquisition of Paydiant systems. Prior to this Varun was Director of Product at Groupon overseeing mobile products where he introduced merchant apps and iPad point of sale to Groupon’s re-imagined expanding mobile app during hyper growth. From 2011-2012 Varun was the Vice President of Product and Design of BetterWorks Inc overseeing product direction for the company’s gamified office perks and rewards platform. Varun spent his early career at Microsoft overseeing a variety of product lines and features spanning CRM, Visual Studio, SharePoint, Windows Phone, and Office 365 from 2003-2011. Varun hails from Toronto, Canada, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo.
